Learning outcomes of course unit
  1. Knowledge of the main sections of electrical engineering and the latest achievements in these sections.
  2. Knowledge of basic electrotechnical laws and methods of analysis of electrical circuits.
  3. Knowledge of the principles of operation, properties and areas of use of electrical devices and control and measuring devices and the ability to use them.
  4. Knowledge of the basic requirements of the Technical Operation Rules and the rules of the Shipping Register of Ukraine on safety when using electrical equipment.
  5. Understanding the need to obtain basic knowledge in the sections of the discipline for further mastering of special electrical- and radio-engineering disciplines.
  6. Ability to apply basic electrical laws to calculate electrical circuits.
  7. Ability to perform experimental researches of electrical circuits and electrical machines, ability to determine their parameters.
  8. Ability to choose the optimal conditions and operating modes of shipboard electrical equipment.
  9. Ability to provide safe working conditions.
  10. Ability to work independently with educational, education-methodical and reference literature in the field of electrical engineering and related disciplines.
