- Master the theoretical foundations of mechanics.
- Acquire skills in solving problems of theoretical and applied mechanics and learn to analyses the operation of simple mechanical devices.
- Be able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in professional activities.

- Section 1. Statics.
- Statics of a solid body. Moment of force. Bindings, conditions of equilibrium.Friction on an inclined and circular surface. Knecht.
- Centre of gravity. Methods of calculation.
- Section 2. Kinematics.
- Kinematics of translational and rotational motions of a solid body. Kinematics of belt, gear and friction gears.Complex motion of a point. Acceleration of relative, translational and complex motion.
- Coriolis acceleration.Flat and free motion of a solid body.
- Section 3. Dynamics
- Dynamics of a point. Direct and inverse problems of dynamics.
- Dynamics of a mechanical system. Theorems of dynamics.
