- Knowledge of hazards and precautions required for operating power systems with voltages above 1,000 volts.
- Knowledge of high voltage technology.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and means.
- Knowledge of the design and principle of operation of marine electric propulsion systems, electric motors and control systems.
- The ability to carry out safe operation and maintenance of high-voltage systems, in particular, special technical types of high-voltage systems.
