Learning outcomes of course unit |
- Knowledge of safety techniques when performing work in workshop conditions, basic technological operations (cutting, heat treatment, welding, soldering, gluing, metalworking, disassembly and assembly), equipment, tools, characteristics and limitations of materials for repairing ship equipment.
- The ability to determine the main characteristics and choose the appropriate materials, technological equipment, devices and tools in the conditions of the ship and use them for the repair and manufacture of parts of the ship's equipment. Perform basic operations in metalworking, welding and soldering of products, disassembly and assembly of ship's technical equipment.
- Ability to use appropriate specialized tools and measuring devices, read piping diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as blueprints and manuals related to marine machinery.
