Learning outcomes of course unit
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and technical operation rules of electrical systems, switchboards, electric motors, generators, as well as AC and DC electrical systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of automation systems and control of the main propulsion unit and auxiliary mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of navigation equipment on the bridge and ship communication systems.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of electrical, electronic systems and control systems of deck mechanisms and lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of control and safety systems of household equipment.
  • The ability to identify faults in electrical circuits, establish fault locations and apply measures to prevent damage.
  • Knowledge of the design and methods of using electrical and electronic control and measuring equipment during the collection and interpretation of information in order to determine the state of technical means and systems.
  • Understanding of electrical and simple electronic circuits, inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance, and restoration of electrical and electronic control equipment to working condition.
  • Ability to use electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of the design and ability to carry out maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems that operate in areas with a high risk of ignition.
  • Ability to perform safe maintenance and repair procedures.

  • Maintenance and repair of equipment for electrical systems, switchboards, electric motors, generators, as well as electrical systems and direct current equipment.
  • Detection of faults in electric circuits, establishment of fault locations and measures to prevent damage.
  • Maintenance and repair of electric, pneumatic, hydraulic automatic equipment of the propulsion plant and auxiliary mechanisms.
  • Features of maintenance and repair of control systems of the main propulsive installation and auxiliary mechanisms.
  • Inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance, as well as restoration of electrical and electronic control equipment to working condition.
