Learning outcomes of course unit | Memorization: principles and means of implementing the regulatory policy of maritime organizations; types of norms and standards in modern maritime law; ship certification system in accordance with international maritime conventions. Understanding: their rights and responsibilities as a member of society; the importance and role of international institutions in the process of implementation of international norms of maritime law; the importance and role of IMO resolutions in ensuring maritime safety. Application of knowledge (skills): use regulatory documents that regulate international maritime legal relations; determine the general order of creation and operation of the main bodies of international maritime organizations; to determine the stages of implementation of the convention norms on ensuring the safety of navigation. Analysis: the general procedure and procedure for the inspection of ships by the relevant authorities of the flag state; the importance and role of international institutions in the process of implementation of international norms of maritime law; norms regarding inspection of passenger ships. Evaluation: ship certification systems in accordance with international maritime conventions; activities of maritime organizations regarding the implementation of conventional norms to ensure the protection of the marine environment from pollution. Creation: organizational and legal mechanism of implementation of conventional norms in the field of combating maritime terrorism. |
