identification of substantive components in historical and legal facts;

identification of common, special, individual in the development of the state and law in Ukraine and foreign countries.

use of historical and legal knowledge to assess the current state and legal reality;

the importance of foreign historical experience for the modern development of legal European statehood in Ukraine.

Creating:

holistic view of the patterns and features of the formation of a legal democratic state and the establishment of the rule of law in society.

Organization of public authority and law in pre-modern societies. State formations of the Ancient East. Ancient polities. The Roman law. Systems of power in medieval societies of Europe. Feudal law. Early bourgeois revolutions and the formation of nation-states in Europe and America. Modernization of political systems in Asian countries. Formation of the individualistic type of law in modern states. Formation and development of statehood and law of Ukraine from antiquity to the present.
