Learning outcomes of course unit | Knowledge: the structure and content of the science of criminology, its institutions, sources, main trends in the development of criminological policy in the conditions of European integration. Understanding: the purpose, principles and scope of criminology, the dichotomy of the General and Special parts of criminology, the nature and content of the main social and criminological phenomena and processes, as well as the dynamics of the development of criminology, the development of criminology as a science in accordance with European standards for the observance of human rights. Application: the necessary sources of criminology when considering cases and solving practical problems, professional thesaurus when articulating certain social and criminological problems, setting tasks, solving problems, formulas for criminological qualification of types of criminal offenses, including when modeling and justifying a criminological position, when solving tasks of necessary provisions of criminology, the use of information technologies, databases and computer programs that are necessary, appropriate and useful for solving practical tasks in criminology. Analysis: of legally significant facts, circumstances and phenomena from criminological issues and synthesis of substantiated legal conclusions on criminological issues. Assessment: the relevance of criminological research methods, argumentation and understanding of legal phenomena and processes studied by criminology, the influence of crime-determining phenomena in solving the problems posed to criminology, perspectives of criminological positions. |
