Learning outcomes of course unit | Knowledge (memorization): the basis of professional communication and business rhetorical communication; requirements for lawyers' speeches; the essence and features of the foundations of rhetoric, the laws and genres of rhetoric; methods of improving speech skills as a means of improving skills, the main types of oratorical speeches; theory of speech technique; specifics and types of public speeches, types and forms of argumentation, methods of influencing the interlocutor; types and types of court speeches. Understanding: features of interpersonal communication; specifics of business communication, features of communicative and speech situations, characteristic of professional activity; principles of psychological foundations of communication; methods of logic and rhetoric for researching problems in the professional field. Application: rules and techniques of logical construction of a monologue text, speech influence, foundations of various types of argumentation; criteria of language culture, the use of rhetorical words in the management sphere; choose the topic of the speech, analyze it, collect and systematize material on this issue; use the principles of psychological and rhetorical aspects of persuasion in professional activity; carry out an analysis of social processes in the context of the analyzed problem and demonstrate one's own vision of ways to solve it. Analysis: technologies of rhetorical activity and forms of effective persuasive communication in professionally significant situations; analyze and choose a professionally significant speech genre that corresponds to a specific situation and create the most effective speech composition. Evaluation: on the basis of verbal and non-verbal observations, evaluate the "portrait of the interlocutor"; reliability and truthfulness of the interlocutor's speech based on non-verbal communication; identify errors in argumentation; solve communicative and speech tasks in a specific communication situation; court audience; methods of polemical conversation. Creation (synthesis): to conduct an extended monologue, an effective conversation on professional issues, rhetorical communicative situations in the management (legal) sphere, to form one's own oratorical skills and abilities; logically correct, accurate, ethical expression of thoughts in words, in accordance with the content, conditions of communication and addressee; to possess polemical art; solve production tasks. |
