Learning outcomes of course unit

Successful completion of the program of the academic discipline "Research practicum" involves the acquisition of the following learning outcomes by the academic discipline:

- To know, understand and be able to perform the tasks of actualizing the maneuvering characteristics of the vessel using an experimental method: turning maneuver.

- To know, understand and be able to perform the tasks of actualizing the maneuvering characteristics of the vessel using an experimental method: active and passive stoping.

- To know, understand and be able to perform the tasks of determining the starting and ending point of the ship's turn using the innovative segmentation method.

- To know, understand and be able to perform calculations for the implementation of the method of segments in the construction of the curvilinear trajectory of the ship's movement.

- To know, understand and be able to form a ship's pilotage plan using modern E-navigation technologies.

- Know, understand and be able to determine the position of the turning pole based on the tangential velocities of the extreme points of the vessel.

- To know, understand and be able to implement the inverse method for constructing a safe trajectory for anchoring the vessel.

- To know, understand and be able to investigate the moments of excessive, dangerous or emergency approach of vessels.

- Know, understand and be able to develop a functional navigation system for various types of vessels using the trajectory point method.

  1. Updating the maneuvering characteristics of the vessel by an experimental method: turning maneuver.
  2. Update of maneuvering characteristics of the ship by experimental method: maneuver of active stopping.
  3. Update of maneuvering characteristics of the ship by experimental method: maneuver of passivestopping.
  4. Determination of the turning point of the vessel by the innovative method of segments.
  5. Implementation of the method of segments in the construction of the curvilinear trajectory of the ship.
  6. Formation of the ship's pilotage plan using modern E-navigation technologies.
  7. Determination of the position of the pivot point based on the tangential velocities of the extreme points of the vessel.
  8. Implementation of the inverse method in the construction of a safe trajectory of the ship anchoring.
  9. Study of moments of excessive, dangerous or emergency approach of vessels.
  10. Development of a functional navigation system for various types of vessels by the method of trajectory points.
