Learning outcomes of course unit

Knowledge of the basic strategies of modern higher education; the genesis of education and science in European culture; understanding the connection between science and education in the current stage of societal development; the role of universities in an educated individual’s development; trends and approaches to implementing the principle of lifelong learning; psychological features and determinants of self-realization of a researcher as an educated person; methods for developing personal qualities that have professional significance.

Ability to reflect on critically and compare trends in modern European and Ukrainian education; analyze the influence of science on the content of education and the pedagogical process; use the achievements of modern science for lifelong learning; develop skills for independent study; based on practical knowledge, form personal competencies, and manage oneself in non-standard situations of professional activity.
