- Knowledge and understanding of the main purposes, principles and action lines of the Bologna process and the European Higher Education Area.
- Ability to identify levels (cycles) of higher education and degrees, and to compare degrees with use of qualifications frameworks.
- Understanding th essence of academic and professional qualifications, their differences and interaction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the main components of external and internal quality assurance of higher education.
- The ability to clearly and unambiguously communicate research results and own conclusions using various means, including media.

- The Bologna process as a tool for integration and democratization of higher education in European countries. Bologna action lines.
- The main objectives, principles and stages of the European Higher Education Area development.

- Definition of qualification. Academic and professional (occupational) qualifications.
