Learning outcomes of course unit |
- The ability to adjust semiconductor converters parameters in order to optimize ship electric drives operation.
- The ability to choose electric motors for various adjustable marine electric drives.
- The ability to analyze different structures of ship adjustable electric drives, to which aligning transformers and reducers can be included.
- Knowledge of capabilities of advanced domestic and foreign manufacturers semiconductor converters regarding changing their settings.
- Knowledge of peculiarities of electric machines operation in the systems of regulated electric drives in stable and dynamic modes.
- Knowledge of optimization methods of ship electric drives, to which: control systems optimization, drive power components optimization, loading optimization are included.
