Memorization:

basic concepts and terms used in international labor law;

sources and subjects of international labor law;

leading legal acts on labor in foreign countries.

Understanding:

the essence of international and comparative labor law, their principles, methods and    functions;

global processes and trends in the field of legal regulation of labor and their possible impact on the development of domestic labor law;

features of international labor law, national branches of labor law, as well as an understanding of the mechanisms of their interaction.

Application (skills):

to interpret international and national labour acts;

compare the development of national labor law with global trends;

apply comparative legal research method, conduct horizontal and vertical comparative content analysis;

use foreign experience in the application of labor legislation of Ukraine in solving practical issues;

to find and use legal material from various sources of international and foreign labor law.

Analysis:

legally significant facts, circumstances and phenomena on labor issues;

comparison of individual labor law institutions of different legal systems;

to conduct a comparative legal analysis of individual institutions of social and labor law of European countries;

advantages and disadvantages of legal support of labor rights in Ukraine in comparison with international labor standards.

Evaluation:

global processes and trends in the field of legal regulation of labor and their possible impact on the development of domestic labor law;

efficiency of the process of adaptation of domestic labor law to international labor law;

convincing evidence in solving problematic issues related to labor offenses.

Creation:

reports, presentations, analytical reviews on labor and legal issues;

рroviding advice on the application of labor legislation in different categories of cases;

formulation of substantiated conclusions on professional tasks in the social and labor sphere;

providing proposals for improving the labor legislation of Ukraine.

General provisions of international labor law. The International Labor Organization and its role in relation to the universality of labor legislation in different countries of the world and Ukraine. Concept, subject and principles of comparative labor law. Peculiarities of methods of legal regulation of labor relations in the countries of Western Europe and the USA. Sources of international labor law, labor law of the countries of Western Europe, the USA and Japan. Labor legal relations. Collective agreements as a means of regulating relations between the employee and the employer. Individual labor law (employment contract according to the laws of the countries of Western Europe and the USA). Labor law in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Labor law of China and Vietnam. The procedure for resolving labor disputes (procedural labor law). Regulation of strikes and lockouts. Legal status of trade unions and associations of entrepreneurs in foreign countries and Ukraine.
