Learning outcomes of course unit

Successful completion of the program of study discipline "Economic Theory" provides for the cadet (student) to obtain the following learning outcomes.

- possession of the culture of economic thinking;

- knowledge of the main economic categories and laws of functioning and development of social production;

- the ability to analyze economic phenomena and processes, to apply the categorical apparatus of economic theory for their explanation;

- understanding the principles of implementing business activity in the conditions of a household and creating a small business;

- acquiring knowledge to solve practical problems;

- ability to collect and process statistical information, make general conclusions about economic trends;

- knowledge of the role, types and economic foundations of the functioning of enterprises, including maritime transport enterprises;

- the ability to use acquired knowledge to solve economic problems, assess the possible consequences of economic policy;

- the ability to plan and organize personal activities in order to form effective structures;

- understanding of the management system of global economic relations;

- knowledge of the essence of economic processes at the macro- and micro-levels, in the conditions of the formation of the market;

- understanding the peculiarities of entrepreneurship and business structures in the modern economy and the economy of Ukraine.

Acquiring learning outcomes for the educational component is achieved by studying the learning material in the following sections:

- General foundations of economic development;

- Market. Its essence and functions;

- Microeconomics. Enterprise in the system of market relations;

- Macroeconomics and macroeconomic indicators. State macroeconomic policy;

- World economy and world trade.
