Learning outcomes of course unit | Successful completion of the educational discipline program requires the cadet to obtain the following learning outcomes according to Model course No: 7.03: Officer in charge of navigation watch. Appendix 2 Physical science. 5. Electronics. Supporting knowledge outline, i.e. acquisition of knowledge: - the physical basis of electronic and semiconductor devices; - purpose, principle of operation and parameters of linear and non-linear components of electronics; - elementary base of analog and digital microelectronic devices; - typical schematic solutions of energy and information conversion devices; - basics of construction and functioning of digital computing and control systems; - physical foundations of radio transmission and reception of signals. |

Content of course unit | The discipline of "Radio engineering and electronics" is basic for the specialty of the navigation profile, as it provides fundamental training for the study of special disciplines, it is decisive in the formation of the professional level of ship drivers, it is an integral part of the formation of general and special competencies of those who acquire the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the specialization "Navigation and management of sea vessels". The discipline "Radio engineering and electronics" is needed by students of higher education to obtain quantitative and qualitative information about the basic concepts in the field of radio electronics, its structural elements and basic principles of operation. Mastering the material of the discipline meets the international requirements of the programs “IMO – Models Course, 7.03 Officer in charge of a navigational watch (р.2.5.
