Learning outcomes of course unit | Successful study of the discipline “Electro-navigational devices” involves obtaining the following results:
- processes of continuous and damped oscillations of sensitive elements; - external and internal factors affecting the occurrence of deviations of gyrocompasses, taking into account the total inertial deviation. - influence of the ship's rolling on the accuracy of gyrocompasses; - constructive differences of various models of gyrocompasses with an autonomous and corrected sensitive element.
- formation of the ship's magnetic field; - determination of magnetic compass errors; methods of compensating of semicircular and heeling errors, calculation of the residual deviation table.
- the principle of acoustic depth measurement: - depth measurement errors of echo sounders and their accounting
- principle of operation and technical characteristics of induction, Doppler and correlation logs. Speed logs errors and their consideration.
- management laws used in ship’s automatic course control systems; operation modes of the autopilots |
