Learning outcomes of course unit | Conceptual knowledge, including some knowledge of current developments in marine engineering to ensure the reliability of ship's machinery and safety at sea. Ability to detect faults in electrical circuits, locate faults and take measures to prevent damage. Knowledge of design and principle of operation of electrical measure and control equipment and ability to interpret electrical and simple electronic circuit diagrams. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic control equipment and monitoring systems. |
