Learning outcomes of course unit | Knowledge: - theoretical foundations of obtaining low temperatures; - the main working fluids used in refrigeration equipment (refrigerants, heat carriers) and their properties; - theoretical foundations of ship refrigerating machines, installations and air conditioning systems, theoretical and actual thermodynamic cycles characterizing their operation; - design and working processes of refrigerating compressors, heat exchangers and auxiliary equipment of ship refrigerating equipment; - typical schemes of ship refrigerating units and air conditioning systems; - basic principles of automatic regulation of processes of ship refrigerating installations; - conditions of heat treatment and storage of refrigerated goods during their transportation; - rules of technical operation of ship refrigeration equipment; - rules of safety and environmental protection during the operation of refrigeration equipment; - knowledge of the basic principles of keeping a running engine watch. Skills: - operate the ship's refrigeration equipment, ensure its reliability and efficiency; - use theoretical knowledge for qualified technical use and maintenance of refrigeration equipment; - identify the characteristic indicators of refrigeration equipment, analyze typical deficiencies and eliminate them in a timely and professional manner; - analyze the influence of operational factors on the efficiency of refrigeration equipment; - adjust automation devices and maintain set cooling modes in refrigerated rooms; - ensure compliance with the requirements of the International Convention on the Prevention of Environmental Pollution; - to ensure safe working conditions when operating refrigeration equipment. |
