Content of course unit | The acquisition of learning outcomes according to the educational component is achieved by studying the following sections: - Marine auxiliary plants and their systems, requirements of Classification Societies. - Marine pumping units and their classification. Ventilation plants. - Marine hydraulic drive, systems and its operation. - Marine compressors, their components and operation. - Marine heat exchangers, distillation plants. - Fuel, oil, liquid and ballast water separation systems. - Marine steering units and systems. - Special ship’s systems of tankers, dry cargo and passenger ships. - Ship’s deck and cargo handling machinery. |
Equipment (if applicable) | Laboratory stands for acquiring skills in starting, operating and testing pumping units. Laboratory stands for acquiring skills in starting, operating, testing, and repairing steering units (stern vane and plunger hydraulic drives). Laboratory stands for acquiring skills in setting up fuel and oil separators. |
