Learning outcomes of course unit | The student acquires learning outcomes that allow to demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks, duties and responsibilities listed in column 2 of tab. A-ІІІ/1, A-III/2, of the 1978 STCW Convention as amended, namely: - safe engineering watch keeping; - usual duties performed while on watch; - procedures for power plant machinery operation in normal and special modes, - operating procedures of power plant and vessel systems; - maintenance safety measures that must be taken; - control and determine the technical condition of the ship's machinery and equipment (SM&E); - to carry out maintenance and repair of ship's machinery and equipment (SM&E) in the ship operation conditions ; - carry out assembly and testing of SM&E. |
