Knowledge of safety techniques when performing work in workshop conditions, basic technological operations (cutting, heat treatment, welding, soldering, gluing, metalworking, disassembly and assembly), equipment, tools, characteristics and limitations of materials for ship equipment repair.

Ability to determine the main characteristics and choose the appropriate materials, technological equipment, devices and tools with the ship ‘s conditions and use them for repair and ship's equipment parts production.

Ability to perform basic metalworking operations, welding and soldering of products, disassemble and assemble ship technical equipment.

Ability to use appropriate specialized tools and measuring devices, read piping plan, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as blueprints and manuals related to marine machinery
