Course unit | Ship Technical Complexes and Systems Reliability |
Nomber of credits ECTS | 3.0 |
Language of education | Ukrainian |
Learning outcomes of course unit | Students gain knowledge about: - the structure of the ship management system and the functions of the ship operation subsystem (TOS), as its constituent part, in interaction with other ship management subsystems; - the principles of forming the budget of ships for their technical operation, the equal distribution of the main costs of thermal power plants and the features of costs that affect the qualified and timely performance of maintenance and repair (TMR); - procedures that ensure the planning, safe maintenance and repair of TMR STM and ship hull structures (SHS) and their operability in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code; - regularities of changes in the maintenance and repair of STM and SHS during the operation of vessels; - characteristic failures and malfunctions of STM and SHS, their causes and consequences; - theoretical foundations, schemes and methods of technical diagnostics (TD); - basic principles of formation of diagnostic models and algorithms for fault localization; - methods and means of TD and non-destructive control of the technical condition (TC) of STM and SHS. Students acquire the ability to: - to manage safe and effective maintenance and repair procedures of STM and SHS ; - analyze the causes of failures and malfunctions of the STM; - use methods and means of TD and non-destructive testing to determine, detect malfunctions and prevent failures of the STM; - make the right decisions in the event of unusual situations; - to provide optimal modes of operation of the STM, taking into account the actual vehicle STM and SHS. |
