Learning outcomes of course unit
  • Knowledge of the physical meaning and units of measurement of basic physical quantities, mechanisms of basic physical phenomena, processes and their theoretical interpretation.
  • Knowledge of possible ways of applying basic physical phenomena and research methods in the study of special disciplines and practical activities.
  • Knowledge of the operating principle of the most important mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Knowledge of the basics of heat transfer, mechanics and fluid mechanics; understanding of the operation of mechanical systems.
  • Conceptual knowledge, including specific knowledge of modern advances in electrical and electromechanical engineering, electronics, control systems and their applications in marine engineering.
  • The ability to give a scientific interpretation to various natural phenomena, to use various physical concepts, phenomena and laws in the study of social disciplines as an example of the manifestation of general philosophical laws and categories.
  • The ability to apply knowledge in the field of physics to independently solve various physical problems, as well as problems of special and general engineering profiles.
  • The ability to conduct experiments to study certain physical processes, present graphically the results obtained and evaluate measurement errors.
  •  The ability to use electrical and mechanical equipment.
