Learning outcomes of course unit |
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical technology and the theory of electrical machines; basics of electronics and power electronics; design and principle of operation of electric switchboards and electrical equipment; basics of automation, control systems and technology; devices, signaling and tracking systems; electric drive; technologies of electrical materials; electrohydraulic and electropneumatic control systems.
- Conceptual knowledge, including certain knowledge of modern achievements, in the field of electrical engineering and electromechanics, electronics and control systems and their application in marine engineering.
- Ability to make connections, distribute load and transfer from one generator to another, connection and disconnection of switchboards and switchboards.
- Knowledge of high voltage technology, safety measures and procedures; ability to perform safe operation and maintenance of high-voltage systems; knowledge of procedures for issuing personnel permission to work with high-voltage equipment.
- Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and technical operation rules of electrical systems, switchboards, electric motors, generators, as well as AC and DC electrical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of the device, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of control and safety systems of household equipment.

- Main and auxiliary sources of electrical energy.
- Emergency power sources, batteries, uninterruptible power supply systems.
- Electricity balance, calculation and selection of electricity sources and converters.

- Voltage Regulators and correctors of generators.
- Regulators of the frequency of rotation of prime movers of generators and shaft generators.
