Learning outcomes of course unit
  • Knowledge of heat transfer basics, mechanics and hydromechanics; understanding of mechanical systems.
  • The ability to prepare propulsion control systems and auxiliary mechanisms for work.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of automation systems and control of the main propulsion plant and auxiliary mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of the structure, principle of operation and rules of technical operation of electrical, electronic systems and control systems of deck mechanisms and cargo lifting equipment.
  • Ability to use electrical and mechanical equipment.
