Learning outcomes of course unit |
- The ability to apply modern information technologies in one’s professional activity;
- The ability to possess general means of obtaining, storing, transforming information, having skills in working with a PLC as a means of controlling information;
- The ability to perform calculations and automatic control systems design of ship electromechanical systems with a PLC, and to carry out the configuration of the PLC in accordance with the technical task requirements;
- The ability to analyze algorithms and programmes embedded in the PLC using standard software for the purpose of technical operation of automation facilities uprating;
- Willingness to take part in debugging and commissioning of ship’s automatic control electromechanical systems with a PLC;
- The ability to carry out diagnostics of a PLC and peripheral equipment of ship’s automatic control electromechanical systems, trace the faults and detect their locations.
