- Knowledge of safety management legal sources on international maritime transport and methods of work management and organization in accordance with modern safety requirements.
- Knowledge of sources peculiarities of danger and harm on naval fleet vessels under modern working conditions, how to identify danger and risk determination methods, how to conduct a risk level analysis.
- Ability to develop plans and protection measures in accordance with the level of risk.
- Knowledge of accounting requirements and the procedure of investigating the consequences of accidents.
- The ability to analyse accidents, to ensure industrial injuries preventive measures on board and to carry out the development of methods of such situations recurrence prevention.
- Drills organization and control over the compliance with the requirements of international maritime conventions.
