Learning outcomes of course unit

Remembering:

the nature of the legal profession;

types of legal practice; conditions of access to the legal professions;

provisions of national and international legal acts and codes of ethics on certain types of legal practice.

Understanding:

the nature and role of the internal imperative in formation of the professional mindset of a lawyer;

peculiarities of the legal practice  in various types of legal activities;

the relationship between law, morality and ethics; factors causing professional burnout.

Application of Knowledge (Skills):

use the acquired skills in career;

interpretation of national and international acts relating profession access; identify ways to overcome professional burnout.

Analyzing:

socio-normative content of the lawyer profession, its principles, features and role in the life of society and the state;

separation of types of legal practice, their specifics;

determination of preferred personality traits of a lawyer for the legal profession.

Evaluating:

deontological significant phenomena;

determine the influence of morality on the formation of law; determine priority ethical norms and standards of legal practice.

Creating:

practising the acquired knowledge regarding admission to certain legal professions;

combining ethical norms and principles in the context of general standards for a lawyer; combining individual personality traits in the context of forming the internal imperative of a lawyer.
