Learning outcomes of course unit | Learning: content and structure of human rights; structures of sources of law in the field of human rights; special legal terminology in the field of human rights and civil society. Comprehension: the essence and content of legal institutions and norms that regulate the state of human rights and the foundations of civil society; goals, principles and scope of action of civil society; the legal nature and content of the legal system, phenomena, genesis and processes of formation of the doctrine of human rights; basic modern legal, democratic and political theories, doctrines, values and principles of functioning of civil society. Knowledge (skills) application: collect, compare and analyze materials from various sources in the field of human rights; to formulate own well-founded judgments based on the analysis of issues in the field of human rights and civil society; give and argue a brief conclusion regarding individual problems of human rights and civil society with sufficient justification; formulate and test hypotheses, evaluate the shortcomings and advantages of arguments, analyzing a situation or problem in the field of human rights and civil society; use a variety of information sources in the field of human rights and civil society to learn complex issues from certain issues; identify and formulate those issues in the field of human rights and civil society that require assistance and act in accordance with the recommendations; use the information obtained from primary and secondary sources of human rights for their professional activities; to be able to freely use information resources, search systems and databases for professional activities; apply acquired knowledge and skills in the field of human rights and civil society in various legal situations, distinguish legally significant facts and form justified legal conclusions; to orientate in modern national and world legal realities, trends, to be able to identify the influence of the idea of human rights on the economic, social, cultural life of society, to compare different types of legal and political systems in the aspect of human rights; objectively and critically analyze information about the human rights institution, take an independent position on issues of a theoretical and practical nature related to the human rights institution, in particular, form an understanding of the main problems and complications that accompany the process of human rights implementation in Ukraine, point out ways solution of formulated problems. provide consultations on the peculiarities of the mechanism of protection of constitutional rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of a person and a citizen. Analysis of: legally significant facts, circumstances and phenomena related to issues of human rights and civil society; standard-setting, law-making and law-enforcement activities on the activities of state authorities and local self-government at the basic level; give a critical legal assessment of the provisions of domestic legislation and the legal positions of national and international courts on the subject of ensuring human rights. Assessment: correctness of individual human rights procedures; the correctness of the application of constitutional and legal norms in the field of human rights and civil society; perspectives of legal positions. Creation of: models of cases and problems in the field of human rights and civil society; reports, essays, presentations on constitutional and legal issues; substantiated conclusions on legal issues in the field of human rights and civil society. |
