Learning outcomes of course unit | Memorization: basic concepts of linear algebra, analytic geometry, differential and integral calculus, probability theory; basic methods of statistical description and analysis of observation results; the main tasks of correlation-regression analysis in econometric studies. Understanding: basic methods of building mathematical models of economic processes and solving problems in the field of management; basic principles of setting and solving organizational problems using mathematical apparatus; economic interpretation of the obtained results. Application of knowledge (skills): solving a system of linear equations; function research using differential calculus; calculation of indefinite and definite integrals; determination of the parameters of the distribution of random variables according to a statistical sample; application of statistical methods for processing statistical data and making informed decisions based on this; application of the method of least squares in solving problems of correlation and regression analysis in econometric studies. Analysis: productivity of the Leontiev model; a hypothesis about the distribution of a random variable according to a statistical sample; specifications of economic models, their parameters and economic and statistical interpretation of the obtained results; solutions to transport problems; parameters and results of econometric problems. Evaluation: statistical data of observations; multicollinearity and ways to eliminate it; solutions of linear programming problems using graphic and simplex methods; making managerial decisions in conditions of uncertainty and conflict. Creation: mathematical models of "expenditure-output"; mathematical models for the distribution of resources; mathematical models of optimal delivery of products to points of need; mathematical models for decision-making in conditions of uncertainty or conflict; mathematical models of linear and non-linear regression. |
