Learning outcomes of course unit | Memorization: functions and principles of the operation of monetary, currency, and credit systems in general and specifically in Ukraine; essence of money, their emergence and evolution in the conditions of market development; types and forms of functioning of money and credit; purpose, regularities of monetary and credit circulation in a market economy; principles and forms of organization of the modern monetary and credit system; characteristics of domestic and foreign market models of money and credit; characteristics of loan capital markets, monetary circulation, and banking activities; essence of methods, principles, and instruments of monetary and credit policy; regularities in the spheres of financial relations of the state, economic entities, and the population. Understanding: essence and functions of finance, organization of finance at macro and micro levels; role of finance in ensuring the economic growth of market relations entities; ways of using the regularities of financial relations in the practice of financial work; trends in the development of national and international financial markets; features of the functioning of specialized non-banking institutions; organization of international monetary and credit relations. Application of knowledge (skills): navigate theoretical and practical issues of the functioning of the financial and credit system; formulate elementary judgments about the regularities in the field of financial relations of the state, economic entities, and the population; independently formulate a personal position on financial and credit issues, reasonably defend it; make financial and credit decisions adequate to the economic situation. Analysis: financial and credit processes taking place and objective assessment of these processes; financial and credit legislation of Ukraine; statistical materials on monetary circulation, the state of the monetary sphere, and the banking system. Evaluation: determine the features and trends of the current stage of development of the financial system; orient in assessing the content of economic and normative-legal information necessary for the development and adoption of reasoned financial decisions. Creation: proposals for improving financial management, optimizing the use of financial resources, and making reasoned financial decisions to increase the competitiveness of maritime and inland water transport enterprises in the national and global market. |
