Learning outcomes of course unit | Remember: key events, facts, and dates from the history of Ukraine; approaches to the periodization of Ukrainian history; historical figures of Ukraine. Understand: the logic of the historical formation and development of the Ukrainian state; the peculiarities of Ukraine’s development in the global, particularly European, context; issues and contradictions in Ukraine’s development as a multicultural country. Apply: classification, interpretation, and systematization of information from historical sources; use of scientific terminology to argue one's position on current issues of history of Ukraine; demonstration of critical thinking in relation to falsifications of historical and cultural information. Analyze: historical events from Ukraine’s pre-modern, modern, and post-modern periods; actions of prominent historical figures of the Ukrainian state. Evaluate: consequences of historical events during different periods of history of Ukraine; attitudes towards historical and cultural heritage in modern Ukraine. Create: theoretical reconstruction of the genesis of history of Ukraine in a global context. |
